The NSS Gerard K. O’Neill Space Settlement Contest is an annual global challenge hosted by the National Space Society (NSS) for students in grades K–12 worldwide. Teams of individuals, small groups (2–5), or large groups (6–12) design original, free‑floating space settlements—not based on planets or moons. Submissions can include essays, art, models, diagrams, research, and more. AI-generated content is strictly prohibited.
